Planning with a Wedding Friend is so much easier than planning alone

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m sure you have lots of questions so let’s have a look at some of the common ones.

How do I get in contact?

The best way is to go to my contact page here but if you want to call please be aware that during wedding days, and most especially at weekends, I may not be able to reply right away. My admin hours are mostly Monday to Thursday 10am to 5pm.

Can we meet and if so how?

Absolutely. Generally I like to have a first chat on a Zoom call, so we can get to know each other a little. If you’d prefer to meet in person, we can find a mutually convenient location or meet at your proposed wedding venue (if you have one), at a time that works for you.

How do we know if we’re right for each other?

When you know, you know. If after our first chat you have further questions or want to talk more in depth, then that is a great sign. I will never pressure you to make a commitment on our first meeting, but if you’re feeling ready to get started and the feeling’s mutual, then let’s get planning!

What if we’re not a good fit? Or you’re not available?

Absolutely not a problem. I know lots of other wedding planners, and if one of them is more appropriate for your requirements then I can always introduce you.

Do you have a recommended suppliers list?

I have a very big list of suppliers who I can recommend, none of them give me kick backs (payment) for recommending them. I’m also getting to know new suppliers all the time so it’s an ever expanding list. I only recommend suppliers whose work I can vouch for. I never just google options!

What areas do you cover?

I mostly tend to work in-person at venues within Herts, Beds or Bucks but my area also reaches parts of south Cambridgeshire, north London, south Northamptonshire. Other areas are absolutely possible too but may incur additional costs. And if you want to take my friendly support to sunnier, warmer locations, I’d be more than happy to talk options with you.

What qualifications/experience do you have for wedding planning?

Well I’ve been planning things most of my adult life, initially since university I was planning theatre shows but in 2012 I fell into co-ordinating weddings at the venue I was working for. Five years later I decided I wanted to go out on my own. You can find out a bit more on my About Page or see my CV on Linked In

How much does a wedding planner cost?

See my packages page for details but basically my flexible affordable approach means we agree a number of hours that works for you so you know from the start how much you can expect to pay. My rates are lower than many in the market, partly because my running costs are low, but also because I want to work with the right people not just people who have tonnes of budget. The lowest total budget one couple I worked with had was under £5000 but the biggest to date was over £25000.

If you have a question that hasn’t been answered here, please get in touch. No question is too daft, and it might just help someone else in the future if I share it here. x
